Meet Our Doctors

Brian McMillan

I was born in the United Kingdom and grew up on the Mornington Peninsula. I trained in both Medicine and Dentistry and specialised in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. I graduated in dentistry from the University of Melbourne and Medicine from The University of Adelaide. I undertook my specialist training in Adelaide, completing a Masters degree from the University of Adelaide. The subject of my thesis was investigating a type of surgery to lengthen the lower jaw, and involved clinical work and an animal model. I passed my fellowship examination in 2001 (FRACDS (OMS)).

Brian McMillan

I commenced private specialist practice in Mornington in 2001. I have an appointment with Southern Health. I am a consultant to The Royal Australian Navy. I have worked as a Consultant at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and with Peninsula Health for several years.

I enjoy teaching and have carried out volunteer work in PNG helping to train a local registrar and am actively involved in training junior doctors.

I live on the Mornington Peninsula with my family and enjoy water sports and outdoor pursuits.

Sunia Vudiniabola

Hi I am Sunia Vudiniabola. I was born in Fiji and lived my adolescent years in Suva where I completed my schooling before embarking on tertiary education in Australia. I trained in both Medicine and Dentistry and specialised in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. I studied undergraduate Dentistry at the University of Adelaide and Medicine at the University of Tasmania in Hobart.

I did my advanced postgraduate training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Adelaide and passed my college surgical Fellowship examination FRACDS(OMS) in 1998.

Sunia Vudiniabola

During my postgraduate training I also completed a Masters degree thesis on clinical and animal model research looking at the use of Hyperbaric Oxygen (breathing pure oxygen in a sealed pressurized chamber) in the management of non-healing bones (osteoradionecrosis) of the face following radiotherapy treatment for head and neck cancer.

Following completion of my specialist surgical training in 1996 I worked as a Senior Lecturer and Consultant In Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Fiji School of Medicine and the main General Hospital in Suva from 1997 to 2001. I have been in private specialist practice in Mornington Victoria since 2002.

Outside of work I love sports particularly rugby, running, fishing and tennis. I am a passionate Brumbies and Pacific Islands rugby supporter.

Dragan Grubor

Hi,  I am Dragan Grubor. I was born in   the former Yugoslavia where I completed my undergraduate training in Sarajevo,  and than my Master of Science degree as well. I did my advanced postgraduate training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery  at the University of Sarajevo, Belgrade  and Chicago (USA). Following my specialist training completion, I worked at he University of Sarajevo School of Dentistry  as an Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at the University Teaching Hospital.

Dragan GruborIn 1992 I migrated to Australia where after training I obtained an Australian dental degree -BDS (Adel) and also obtained my surgical specialist Fellowship FRACDS (OMS).

At present I am the Head of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Departmen t  of the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne, Consultant Surgeon in the Austin Hospital, and I am a Lecturer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with the School of Dental Science, University of Melbourne. I am the coordinator of the training program in implants for the Oral and Maxillofacial surgical trainees. Also I have a private practice in North Melbourne.

My interests are  in teaching, implants and treatment of  oral and maxillofacial pathology.
I like travelling , table tennis, reading,  good  music.
